Redefining Hope

Eric Prol began working with his first spinal cord injury client in 2005 and is a Project Walk Level 1 Certified Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Trainer. He earned his undergraduate Exercise Science degree from the University of Rhode Island in 2002, is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, a physical education and health teacher, and a track and field coach. Eric also maintains certifications in First Aid and CPR.



Mike Anastasiou joined Push to Walk in February 2009 and will complete his Project Walk Level 1 Certified Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Trainer certification in June 2010. He earned his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from the California University of Pennsylvania in 2008 and holds certifications through NSCA, NASM, First Aid, CPR and AED. Mike attended a three day Locomotor Training Conference given by the NeuroRecovery Network in June 2009.



Karla Ruaya started working at Push To Walk in May 2010. She graduated with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Northern Michigan University. Karla is certified in Pilates, Yoga, Spin, and CPR/AED. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist. Karla also attended the three day NeuroRecovery Network Locomotor Training Workshop in November 2010.



Tommy Sutor began working at Push To Walk in September of 2011. He received his Master’s degree in Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in the spring of 2011. In addition to his degree he holds certifications from the NSCA and USAW. He also maintains his CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. While at East Stroudsburg University for his undergraduate degree, Tommy was also a national qualifier in the hammer throw for the track and field team.
